Interhouse competition forges teambuilding and camaraderie amongst senior students

Early in the new school year, our senior students participated in a number of inter house competitions. The aim being to forge team building and strengthen friendships across the year groups. Just some of the activities included: finding their own “lost shoe”, getting themselves into birthday order, building towers with spaghetti and marshmallows; wearing blindfolds to guide each other to objects; transferring balls from one end of the gym to another using guttering; working together to build cup towers with only elastic bands, string and teamwork. Students gained house points for speed and completion of the various activities.

The results were: 4th Roker 141 points, 3rd Barnes 149 points, 2nd Herrington 153 points, 1st Mowbray 173 points. The winning house enjoyed a ‘foodie’ treat at breaktime!
