We understand how important reliable and safe transport to and from school is for busy families. Our dedicated school transport service makes it easy for pupils to travel from areas across Tyne and Wear, County Durham, and surrounding regions.
The cost of our school transportation service is £3 per trip, providing an affordable and efficient option for getting to and from school. This service is available to all students from Reception through to Year 11. We aim to accommodate as many students as possible to meet the needs of our school community.
Planning your child's journey
Safety and security are paramount when it comes to our transportation services. Our school bus service is designed to ensure that pupils are picked up from their designated locations and safely transported to school in time for registration at 8:45 am. After a full day of learning, the bus departs from the school at 4:00 pm to take students back home.
At Argyle House School, safeguarding is a priority. All our drivers are fully insured and have undergone thorough DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks. This ensures that our drivers meet the highest standards of safety, giving parents peace of mind that their children are in trusted, experienced hands.
Transport Routes and Areas We Cover
Our school transport service operates multiple routes across the North East, with pick-up and drop-off points tailored to pupil locations.
Our current bus route covers several key areas, including Harton Nook, Cleadon, Boldon, South Shields, Houghton-le-Spring, Elba Park, Washington, Penshaw, Herrington, and Doxford Park. We understand that family needs may vary so we are happy to consider additional stops upon request whenever possible.
