Year 9 and Beyond

GCSEs

Pupils will be asked to choose their GCSE subjects at the end of Year 9. Compulsory subjects are Maths, English, Science and French.

Optional subjects include History, Geography, Business Studies, Music, Drama, ICT, Art and PE.

Timetables can be moulded to suit the demands of the child and the class.

Pupils are given full support throughout their GCSEs, and regular planning and review meetings between pupils, parents and school staff ensure children can achieve their fullest potential.

Careers

From Year 9 pupils begin to look at life after Argyle House School.

We welcome Careerwaves into school weekly, who speak with students individually about what they would like to do after school. Whether it be an apprenticeship, a college course or planning for university, they discuss how to make their dreams a reality and the steps it will take to do so.

At Argyle House School we take huge pride in helping our pupils to secure the future they are working hard to achieve.

Life After Argyle House School

Here at Argyle House School we take great pride in providing opportunities to our pupils to give them the best possible options for what they choose to do after they leave us. Many pupils go on to colleges and sixth form centres before heading of to university whilst others successfully secure apprenticeships.
