Year 3 and 4 Visit Butterfly World

Year 3 and 4 had a fantastic time on their trip to Butterfly World, where learning really came to life!

The day began with an exciting lesson about the life cycles of butterflies and moths. Pupils then headed into the tropical atrium, where they had the chance to observe a wide variety of butterflies fluttering around them. Some were even lucky enough to have butterflies land on them! The hands-on experience continued as children gently held both caterpillars and butterflies.

Young girl exploring

The atrium was filled with other fascinating creatures, including fish, lizards, marmosets and meerkats, which they got to explore and learn more about.

After lunch, the children got creative, putting their new knowledge to use by making colourful and informative fact files about the animals they had encountered.

A fun day that brought classroom learning to life!
