Nursery and Reception Visit Butterfly World

Nursery and Reception pupils recently enjoyed a memorable trip to Butterfly World, where learning came to life through hands-on experiences and close encounters with nature.
The day began with a session on the life cycle of a butterfly, giving the children a deeper understanding of metamorphosis and the natural world. This was followed by a visit to the tropical atrium, where pupils were able to observe a wide variety of butterflies up close. Pupils also had the unique opportunity to carefully hold caterpillars and butterflies. To their delight, some butterflies even chose to land on them!
The atrium offered even more to explore, with fish, lizards, marmosets and meerkats capturing the children’s fascination.
After a well-earned lunch, the day continued with outdoor activities in the park. Pupils enjoyed playing games with friends, completing a nature-themed scavenger hunt and drawing pictures inspired by their favourite parts of the trip.
Pupils returned to school with new knowledge, lasting memories and a lot of sleepy heads.
