Year 5 and 6 pupils inspired by Careers Fair attendance
Pupils in Year 5 and 6 recently attended a Careers Fair hosted by Brackenfield School, also part of the Forfar Education Group family of schools, in Harrogate.
Members of Brackenfield School’s parent body delivered seminars that engaged and inspired pupils. The seminars covered wide-ranging sectors including law, super car finance, public service, public relations, TV producing and directing and the use of artificial intelligence in the legal profession. The Careers Fair underlined the diverse choice of careers available but also reinforced valuable messages such as the importance of working hard and that trying and sometimes failing, is an invaluable way to learn.
Central to Forfar Education’s Schools philosophy is to prepare their pupils for the world they will work in. This Careers Fair reflected Forfar Education’s commitment to shared learning and cross-school collaboration, alongside recent interschool initiatives including robotics and debating competitions.
