Life at Argyle House School extends far beyond the classroom.
Our extra‑curricular and enrichment programme is designed to broaden horizons, nurture individual talents and help pupils develop confidence, curiosity and a strong sense of community. With opportunities spanning sport, the arts, academic enrichment and personal development, every pupil is encouraged to discover new interests and pursue their passions.
Sport at Argyle House School
Sport plays a central role in school life. We believe that regular physical activity builds confidence, teamwork, leadership and resilience, and we are committed to ensuring that every pupil, regardless of ability, can take part and enjoy being active.
Our sports programme focuses on participation, enjoyment and healthy competition, supported by high‑quality coaching, regular fixtures and a culture of sportsmanship. Pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves, celebrate progress and develop a lifelong appreciation of physical activity and wellbeing.

Recent and regular enrichment experiences include:

- Theatre Royal visits — supporting English and Drama studies with high‑quality live performance
- Women of the World Festival — inspiring pupils through discussions on equality, empowerment and global issues
- SafetyWorks workshops — practical sessions with the RNLI, police, fire and rescue services and Nexus, teaching pupils how to stay safe in a range of real‑life situations, including water safety and public transport
- Skiing Trip – a highlight of the year! Our students head to the slopes for one week every year to build on their lessons and skills learnt in their weekly lessons at Silksworth
These experiences help pupils build confidence, broaden their understanding of the world and develop essential life skills.
